Booking flights to Mexico
Ok, so, now is probably the right time to break it to you...
You can't quite fly directly to San Miguel de Allende.
But there's good news!
Three airports service San Miguel de Allende which means that there are many flight options at different prices:
Leon International Airport (BJX)
Queretaro (QRO)
Mexico City International Airport (MEX)
Cast a wide net and compare prices and itineraries for all 3.
Leon International Airport (BJX), is closest international airport to San Miguel de Allende. However, Mexico City (MEX) may have a greater variety of international flights and lower prices. Especially if you happen to find yourself with time to explore, Mexico City is an amazing, cosmopolitan city definitely worth a visit before or after heading to San Miguel.
Most importantly, if you need any help planning logistics, please reach out. We would love for you to join the celebration in Mexico, and we're happy to help make it work for you. Just ask!
Travel tip:
You'll likely see Volaris and Interjet pop up in your flight searches. Many of you may not have heard of these carriers, but they're essentially the Mexican equivalent of JetBlue. We've flown both and have had great experiences with new planes.
